2019 Store concept, Art Direction, Design
This project is very close to my heart: Together with Stella Frank I developed the concept for a space where Afro-German people can come together, exchange experiences, learn things about their hair and get it done as well. The products in our roster were not only made for us, but also by us: they were almost exclusively by companies led by womxn, BIPoC or – ideally – BIWoC.
This space was called "KINDRED" and came to life as a Pop Up store in the summer of 2019.
A well curated selection of organic products from Europe and the USA, newly created hair and skin products and accessories, collaborations with up and coming hair stylists, workshops, exhibitions and other events made the week as special as it was.
